About the Knights

The Knightsof Columbus was founded on March 29,1882 by Father Michael J. McGivney and a small group of his parishioners in New Haven, Connecticut.

Today, the membership is limited to men at least eighteen years of age, that stand firmly on the principles of Charity, Unity, Faternity and Patriotism and spiritually in alignment with the Holy See.  Its members are committed to the sanctity of human life and stand firmly in defense of family and in support of the priesthood.

The Knights of Columbus has grown from several members in one council to more than 14,000 councils and 1.8 million members throughout the United States and other countries.

About Our Council

The Shrine of Lady of Guadalupe Council  was formed in 2004  and has approximately 50 dedicated members. Although we are a relatively new council we have grown in spirit and see that we are making a difference.  The sense of community is shared by all it's members who come from different walks of life.

Throughout the year we have activities and programs  that benefit the community, the parish and the families of our members.

Double Star Council Distinction Award in 2011 for excellence in the areas of membership recruitment,  retention, promotion of the fraternal insurance program and sponsorship of service-oriented activities.

Join us and and Make a difference.
